Had my first doctor's appointment yesterday and, while they don't normally do an ultrasound until 20 weeks, she wanted to check my dates.

Peanut is looking good! Measures right where she should and even a strong flickering heart. Too cool.

Words really cannot express how awesome it was to see. And easy to find! So early, my doctor thought she might have to use the vaginal transducer. But, the minute she touched my tummy with the wand there was the Peanut!

Decolletage

An observation: I'm sitting at work, reviewing some files and typing them up and I am distracted. By my cleavage. I mean, seriously! I'm wearing a bra and a supportive cami, yet there they are! I glance down to write or read, "That's new!" and I marvel at my new bounty.

Don't get me wrong. I'm still in no way beyond a B. And the Great Plains still reside between the Rockies and Appalachians. But I'm quite mesmerized. Bursting the capactity of my Thank-Goodness-It-Fits half size. Arms brushing past them like never before. Since this is a family establishment, I won't go into other related changes.

Pregnancy. Wow.

Boo Hoo

Do you think it means that I'm emotionally labile when I start sobbing after watching 30 seconds of Buffy the Vampire Slayer? True, she was about to hurl herself from a rickety platform to save the world and her sister. But--30 seconds?

What about getting really pissed off and grumbling to myself because Beej hasn't emptied the dishwasher this week while I've been busy? Or throwing pillows around the family room because I can't find the remote?

Mood swings? What mood swings?
